Refund Policy

A Refund Policy explains when clients may request a refund, what portion of their payment is refundable, and the conditions under which refunds are granted. The details below outline how refunds are handled for all sessions booked with Tom on the Hill Photography.

Timeframe for Refund Requests

Clients may request a refund of their session without retainer up to 72 hours before the scheduled session time. Requests made after this window are not eligible for a refund unless the cancellation is due to circumstances outside the client’s control (such as severe weather or emergencies).

Refund Amounts

Retainer Refunds
  • Full refund without the retainer is available if the cancellation is made more than 72 hours before the session.

  • No refund is available for cancellations made within 24 hours of the session, except in cases of uncontrollable circumstances.

Full Session Payments

If a client has paid the full session amount in advance:

  • The retainer portion follows the rules above.

  • The remaining balance may be refunded if the session has not yet taken place.

Conditions for Receiving a Refund

Refunds may be issued under the following conditions:

  • The client cancels more than 72 hours before the session.

  • The photographer must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Weather or location conditions make the session unsafe or impossible, and rescheduling is not an option.

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Late arrivals or no‑shows

  • Dissatisfaction with personal appearance, outfits, or weather preferences

  • Requests made after the gallery has been delivered

  • Situations where the client declines rescheduling options

Rescheduling Instead of Refunds

If a client needs to reschedule, we will make every effort to accommodate a new date. Rescheduling does not incur a fee if requested more than 24 hours before the session.

Digital Products

Because all images are delivered digitally:

  • Once a gallery has been delivered, no refunds are available.

  • Digital files cannot be returned or exchanged.
