These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) outline the legal boundaries and expectations for anyone who visits or engages with the Tom on the Hill Photography website or services. By using this site or booking a session, you agree to the terms described below.

Because every photography business operates differently, these T&C are tailored to the specific services we offer — including session bookings, payments, cancellations, image delivery, and usage rights. These terms help define the relationship between you (the client or visitor) and us (the website and service provider), and they help protect both parties from misunderstandings or misuse.

What These Terms Cover

Below are the key areas addressed in our Terms & Conditions:

1. Website Use

Visitors agree to use this website responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws. All content on this site — including images, text, branding, and design — is the property of Tom on the Hill Photography and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

2. Booking & Payment Policies

  • A non‑refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date.

  • Your session is not officially booked until the retainer is received.

  • The remaining balance is due before any images are delivered.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the session will receive a refund of the retainer.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session (excluding circumstances outside your control, such as weather) are not eligible for a refund.

  • Rescheduling requests will be accommodated when possible

3. Session Expectations

Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to arrive on time and prepared. Late arrivals do not extend the session duration.

Photographer Responsibilities

We provide professional service, guided posing, and a supportive environment throughout the session. Policies regarding outfit changes, guests, and number of locations are defined in each package description.

4. Image Delivery & Editing

  • Final edited images are delivered within 10–14 days via an online gallery.

  • Some packages include preview edits before the full gallery.

  • All images are edited in the signature Tom on the Hill style.

  • Additional retouching requests may incur extra fees.

  • Additional edited images may be purchased individually.

  • RAW files are not provided under any circumstances.

5. Copyright & Usage Rights

  • Tom on the Hill Photography retains full copyright to all images.

  • Clients receive personal‑use rights to download, print, and share their images.

  • Images may not be sold, heavily altered, or used commercially without written permission.

  • We may use images for our portfolio, website, or social media unless you request otherwise in writing before your session.

6. Third‑Party Services

Some parts of our website may rely on third‑party platforms (such as gallery hosting or booking tools). These services may have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the performance or policies of external platforms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Tom on the Hill Photography is not liable for:

  • Weather conditions

  • Location restrictions

  • Unexpected events outside our control

  • Loss or damage caused by third‑party services

If an unforeseen circumstance prevents us from completing your session, we will work with you to reschedule or provide a refund when appropriate.
